The technologically advanced formulation of Friction Guard XP contains patented additives that penetrate deep into the pores of the metal and bond to its surface, creating a layer with enhanced film strength that provides excellent anti-oxidation properties across a wide range of operating temperatures. Friction Guard XP will not burn up at the extreme temperatures encountered in a full-scale fire, nor will it become sticky or rubbery in extreme cold, with an operating range from -100 °F to 600 °F.
Friction Guard XP also offers unmatched protection against rust and corrosion by forming an effective protective film on the surface. This micro-thin film passed the ASTM B-117 salt spray test for over 100 hours, demonstrating its ability to effectively remove moisture and neutralize corrosive residues.
A thin layer of Friction Guard XP continues to protect the metal surface during storage. It does not attract dust or dirt and helps repel contaminants during firing.
